Become of Volunteer 

Join the team of Franklin Opera House volunteers.  Whatever your schedule or experience there is a place for you.  This is your opportunity to not only give back to your community, but to also attend a performance of your choice for free! If you are interested in becoming a volunteer contact info@franklinoperahouse.org

§        Ushers 

Ushers are the front-line representative of FOH whose primary function is to ensure that the audience has a comfortable, enjoyable and memorable experience while attending an event or performance.  Ushering opportunities are available for all FOH shows and Franklin Footlight Theatre also provides an opportunity as well. 

§        House Managers 

The House Manager’s primary responsibility is to oversee and coordinate with Stage Manager, Tech Manager, Box Office, Ushers and Refreshment Teams to ensure that all areas are properly covered for an event.  House managing is a great way to work with each level of FOH. 

§        Stage Manager 

The Stage Manager coordinates all technical and stage activities during productions and events.  If you have ever wanted to see how things work back stage, here is your opportunity. 

§        Lighting Technician 

The Lighting Technician coordinates the lighting needs for each event prior to show and must be  comfortable with heights. 

§        Spotlight Operator

     §        Sound Technician 

The Sound Technician’s job is to determine the sound needs for each event prior to show date.  If you are willing to be trained in this skill, contact us at the address above. 

§        Poster Distribution 

Poster distribution is one of our means of advertising and we could always use volunteers to help distribute them in the Lakes Region.
